Tea With Friends

I just received exciting news that Camellia Rose is

featured in a new book titled “Mini Teatimes” authored

by artist Susan Rios and published by Harvest House!

This book is expected for release in January 2010.  I  am

looking forward to viewing “Mini Teatimes” and we will

have them available for purchase.  I will keep you updated.

Cheers,

Ellen

High Tea is often a misnomer. Most people refer to afternoon tea
as high tea because they think it sounds regal and lofty,
when in all actuality, high tea, or ”meat tea” is dinner.
We serve afternoon tea at Camellia Rose which consists
of the traditional English menu of scones and devon cream,
tea sandwiches, desserts and endless pots of tea!
High tea is a hearty dinner served late in the evening and
consists of meats, cheese and breads.  This meal was
served after a long day of hard labor for the
middleclass.

We have soooooooo much fun at Camellia Rose.  Christmas is always

memorable at Camellia Rose.  We have a very special menu planned,

our beef tenderloin with gruyere mashed potatoes is always a

favorite for our guests.  Everyone always looks forward to our

chocolate mice!  We look forward to the Plant City Community Choir

performing on Saturday, November 28,2009 during tea time.   Tracie Arnold

will be here on Saturday, December 5, 2009, presenting a “Victorian Fashion

Teatime.”   We will focus on the real meaning of Christmas December 12, 2009, when

our “Camellia Rose Acting Troop” will present “Who Stole the JOY from Christmas”

mystery tea.  Then later that evening we want you to discover historic downtown

Plant City during our first annual “Christmas Stroll!”  Many stores will be open that

evening serving Christmas savories and delectables.  The Plant City Community Choir

will be strolling downtown singing Christmas Carols.  We hope you can join us for

the sights and sounds of Christmas in Plant City this year!!

Merry Christmas

P.S.  You can also view our upcoming events at www.Teamap.com

Suzanne and her family had a lot to celebrate today.

Her daughter, Daneen, pictured on the left, was home

from Iraq.  She is in the Army and is serving our country

in Irag.  She will return the end of this month.  We look

forward to seeing her when she returns next year.  Thank you

Daneen for serving our country!

It is always a pleasure having guests dine with us.  I especially love

making new friends.  Wendy visited us for the first time last spring

and we were thrilled when she brought her friends back while they

were on holiday here from Scotland.  We are so excited because

we plan to  visit her in Scotland this summer! New friends are

just one of the blessings that come from owning a tea room.
